Today has mostly been devoted to experimentation.
Last night, with Ricardo’s help, I upgraded NeoLibrarium from WordPress 2.1 (or something like that) to Wordpress 2.7.1! Along with that, I added some new themes which you can see now on NeoLibrarium. We made it through pretty smoothly and I was happily playing with the new gadgets until Ricardo pointed out that it really was past my bedtime.
Today, I devoted some time to editing some of the themes for NeoLibrarium. Ricardo came for lunch. We had re-heated chicken mole. Not mole, like the animal, but mole with an accent over the ‘e’ that I can’t type yet. (It was pretty good.)
After lunch, I decided to try out my newfound ninja WordPress skills so I upgraded NickyHicks to the latest WordPress, too! It went even more smoothly than my update of NeoLibrarium since I’d done it once before and I’ve added some spankin’ new themes here, too.
So, don’t be too surprised if (or rather when) the scenery changes again! Also, feel free to let me know if you love or hate the way the site looks at any time. I’m going to keep working with it when I can.
Hey! I likes the new look! Sounds like life is good for the Nick. I am now being videotaped as part of the growth plan I have been put on (SUCKS!). I am fighting this whole deal; in fact, I have contacted ATPE over this crap. My former principal has told Uncle David that changes should be coming very soon. Meanwhile, I am an emotional basket case! I am trying to meet the standards they have set, but they are very vague and I find it difficult to determine how they will measure whether they have been attained or not. SO…plus I am packing up my room (with about 35+ years of stuff to go through) so that we can have things ready to move to the new building by June 8. I am so stressed that I have now gotten a white spot on the crown of my head! Liz
I’m sorry that you’re so stressed! I keep hoping things will get better for you. I’m praying for you! I hope that you get your room packed up without too much trouble, though if you’re a packrat like me then I know it’ll be an adventure at the very least. Hopefully the new room with the new building will make things easier once everyone has settled in.
Keep me updated.
Hmmm… mole is one of those things I never could bring myself to eat… just the look of it turns my stomach! (oh, and there’s no accent on it so don’t worry) :p
To Cristina: Oh, good, no accent! Though, I keep thinking there should be one since, in English mole is a mammal. >.> I don’t eat those.
I can understand how looking at mole could be a turnoff. I had to work up some guts to try it for the first time, and the flavor was so bizarre to me that it took some getting used to!
It’s an easy meal to make, though. Much less time consuming than tamales. Since it was reheated we made fun of it. We started calling it repollo and re-chicken.
To Aunt Liz: I’m sorry things are still going so rough! I hope that the classroom move goes well, though if you’re a packrat like me I can see how things could get hairy pretty quick. Say hi to the guys for me. I can’t get over the fact that Robert’s taller than me already! I’ll keep you in my prayers.
